Denzel's Life Story

Denzel Washington is a man of great importance that should be acknowledged for being the outstanding man that he is. He has so far been very successful in his life, even before his career as an actor started.
Denzel Washington was born in Mount Vernon, New York on December 28th, 1954. He is the second out of the three kids in his family. Denzel got his first job, when he was eleven, at a beautyshop that was near his block. When he was fourteen his sister and him were sent to boarding school, so they wouldn't have to endure the struggle that soon led to divorce. After graduating from highschool Washington went on to Fordham University where he studied the art of storytelling on a path to journalism. He later went into several starring roles in the many school productions that were held there.
Washington recieved his B.A. in 1977, then went on to pursuing his passion for acting at the American Conservatory Theatre in San Francisco, winning a scholarship. And yet after one year he became bored with the whole place and left to establish his professional acting career. Two of his early films include the movies " Wilma, and Carbon Copy ". Although he was very successful in those movies his real big break came when he starred in the hospital drama " St.Elsewhere", that lasted a total of six seasons. His performances in that show drew the attention of many Hollywood casting directors. After St. Elsewhere concluded, Washington went on to act in the movie " Glory ", earning him an Academy Award for best supporting actor.
Many people admire Washington because of the feeling and heart that he puts into his roles. Washington read very intently in preparation for his role in the movie " Malcom X ", in which he was nominated an oscar for in 1992. During the time of the movie filming, Washington's father had sadly passed away. Denzel met his wife on the set of the movie " Wilma ", and they fell for one another and got married. Denzel, his wife Pauletta, and their four children now live in Los Angelas in a beautiful mansion. The Washingtons are a Christian family and very religious. The Washintons spend alot of time together especially at the Pentacostal West Angeles church. On one of their vactaions they went to South Africa. There Pauletta and Denzel renewed their vows. The ceremony had been administered by Archbishop Tutu. Washington devotes most of his time being spokesman for the Boys & Girls Club of America. He donates money to many charities and churches including his own church.
In the time so far that hes lived Washington has already got himself put in the Hollywood A-List. People see him as a great role model who's example is one we should all follow. Denzel Washington's most recent movie is the box office seller " The Great Debaters ".
